The firm was founded in 1937 and originally located in Newark, NJ, a center for manufacturing. The firm quickly developed a concentration of manufacturing and industrial companies. Over the last seven decades our client base and expertise has expanded to a wide spectrum of industries. We are proud that many of our clients are family businesses and have successfully transitioned to second and third generations while continuing their relationship with our firm. Shapiro & Shapiro itself is a second generation company with Robert Shapiro currently the managing partner.
To further our pursuit of excellence we are a member firm of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, and participate in an onsite quality review program administered by our peers.
